Miner's Rock Ranch is located 22km east of Kamloops on the East Trans Canada Highway. They specialize in early corn, tomatoes and potatoes. They also have several large garden plots which provide nearly all of their extended family with vegetables year-round. |
The 39 acre property originally had a small two-room 600 sq.ft. shack located a short distance awat from the highway. A 2700 sq.ft. 'addition' using recycled studs was built over the course of one summer. High cielings throughout, a coldroom in the basement, and heated with a modern wood-burning furnace. The kitchen, and much of the furniture, was made from recycled oak pallets. Nearly every window boasts a view of the valley and the Thompson River. |
